Animals thrive on routine and familiarity, some pets can become extremely nervous and stressed when put into a kennel or cattery environment.

Your pet is left in their own environment (your home) with their own routine, which is the best situation for your pets wellbeing, as the stress of a kennel environment is avoided.

Take The Lead will walk your dog for a minimum of 2 hours during the day (this can be split up into smaller walks throughout the day), more if the type of breed requires it, provide all the love and attention they need as well as following there regular feeding and bed time routine, we will also groom your pet and give medication if needed.

We will also bring in your post, water any household plants, close blinds/ curtains, put the bins out and also send you text messages updating you on how your pet is doing.

Initial consultation - The initial consultation enables you to meet your allocated pet sitter and allows your pet to meet their new best friend. This will also gives you the opportunity to ask any questions and for your pet sitter to go through the paper work, which details insurance coverage, your pets needs and any special requirements, and also your veterinarian details.
